Frequently asked questions
What is a postpartum & newborn concierge nurse?
A postpartum & newborn concierge nurse is a licensed Registered Nurse who provides personalized, in-home support for mothers, newborns, and families after birth. Care may include newborn education, feeding support, maternal recovery guidance, emotional reassurance, overnight support, and assistance adjusting to life with a new baby—helping bridge the gap between hospital care and confident life at home.
What services do you provide?
We offer personalized daytime and overnight postpartum support tailored to each family’s unique needs. Services may include newborn care, feeding guidance and support, maternal recovery assistance, sleep education, hands-on newborn education, bottle cleaning, baby laundry, and emotional reassurance—all provided in the comfort of your home.
What makes us different from a doula or newborn care specialist?
While doulas and newborn care specialists provide valuable non-medical support, Bloom & Bond Concierge Nursing offers care provided by licensed Registered Nurses with hospital-based maternal and newborn experience. This allows us to provide a more comprehensive level of support, including maternal recovery guidance, clinical insight, newborn education, and comprehensive care for both mother and baby—all within the comfort of your home.
What are your qualifications and experience?
All Bloom & Bond staff are licensed Registered Nurses with hospital experience in labor & delivery and/or postpartum care. Every nurse is carefully vetted through background checks and maintains current adult and infant CPR certification, allowing families to feel confident knowing they are receiving safe, professional, and compassionate care.
How do you personalize care for each family?
At Bloom & Bond, we understand that every family’s needs, routines, and parenting styles are unique. We take time to learn your preferences, goals, and areas where you may need the most support in order to provide thoughtful, personalized care tailored specifically to your family’s needs.
Will the nurse judge our parenting choices?
Absolutely not. Our role is to provide compassionate, evidence-based support while respecting each family’s unique parenting style, goals, and preferences.
Do you support breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and pumping?
Absolutely. At Bloom & Bond, we support families in feeding their baby in the way that feels best for them. We provide gentle, personalized guidance for breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and pumping—helping parents feel confident, supported, and comfortable throughout the feeding journey.
Will I still be able to rest if I’m breastfeeding?
Absolutely. We offer several approaches to overnight support for breastfeeding families. Nurses can manage feeds using pumped milk to allow for uninterrupted rest, or we can care for all of baby’s needs and bring baby to you only for feedings before settling them back to sleep. Our goal is to help mothers receive as much rest and recovery time as possible while still supporting their feeding goals.
Can you help establish sleep routines?
Yes. We provide education and guidance on healthy, age-appropriate sleep habits while always prioritizing your baby’s development and your family’s comfort. Gentle sleep conditioning support is available within our Blossom package for infants at least 4 weeks of age and typically requires a minimum commitment of 4–6 weeks for consistency and success.
Do you help with twins or multiples?
Yes. We have experience supporting families with twins and multiples and understand the additional care, organization, and support this often requires. Our goal is to help families feel more rested, confident, and supported while adjusting to life with multiple newborns.
Do you offer packages or hourly rates?
We offer three thoughtfully designed support packages—Bud, Bloom, and Blossom—with pricing based on the level and duration of care selected. Customized support plans may also be available to meet your family’s unique needs. Please contact us for personalized pricing and availability.
When should I book your services?
We recommend booking during pregnancy—ideally during the second trimester—to help ensure availability around your due date. However, we also welcome postpartum inquiries and may be able to accommodate families based on scheduling availability.
What areas do you serve and how does scheduling work?
Bloom & Bond Concierge Nursing currently serves families in Kenosha and surrounding areas. Scheduling is based on availability and is personalized to each family’s needs. We recommend booking during pregnancy to help secure availability around your due date, though postpartum scheduling may also be available.
